Joe Tynan - Board Member

Joe Tynan is a retired senior executive (CEO, COO, President, and VP) with over 44 years of business experience across a variety of industries: construction, industrial manufacturing, steel processing, plating and painting, animal production and consumer products. Joe spent the first 20 years with the General Electric Company beginning his career in sales and marketing progressing to general management, and including international responsibilities when he was G.M. of the Latin America Construction Business Operations of GE. He and his business partner successfully started a consumer product business which ultimately lead to bring in a venture capital partners to help take it to national recognition. His post GE business experience includes 15+ years in “turn around” operations and he successfully completed over 7 business acquisitions and integrations during this period. He finished his career in Indiana with Ambassador Steel Corp. (now a part of Harris Rebar, a division of NUCOR).

Mr. Tynan is a graduate (BSME) of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology; Terre Haute, IN and while a GE employee attended both the Management Development Course and Executive Development Course of General Electric Company. He is married to Nancy and has two sons and four grand-children. He currently serves on the Tippecanoe Watershed Foundation as Vice President and Fund Raising Chair and also serves as on the board of the Lake Tippecanoe Properties Owners. His hobbies are grandchildren, golf and lake life.
